Please include the following item on the City Commission consent agenda for consideration at the March 25, 2008 meeting:

Set a bid opening date of April 15, 2008, for the PS #16 Pipeline Cleaning and CCTV Inspection Project (Bid # 08031)

Project Description. 

This project is part of an effort to determine the condition and reliability of sanitary sewer trunk lines in the area of PS #16, located at 220 West 6^th (see attached map). It is the first step in the overall CIP project to address the condition of these lines, which were installed in 1958.  The appropriate rehabilitation method(s) will be selected based on the results of this cleaning and CCTV inspection.

Project Details. 

The project entails the cleaning and closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection of +/- 1,183 lineal feet of vitrified clay pipe (VCP) and +/- 1,629 lineal feet of corrugated metal pipe (CMP)

Project Funding. 

Funding for the project will come from the Department of Utilities non-bonded construction fund.

Action Request.  Utility Department staff requests approval to set a bid opening date of April 15, 2008, for the PS #16 Pipeline Cleaning and CCTV Inspection Project (Bid # 08031)
