ORDINANCE NO. 8248

 

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17-502 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, 2008 EDITION AND AMENDMENTS THERETO  PERTAINING TO THE DESIGNATION OF TRAFFICWAY CONNECTIONS AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

 

SECTION 1. Section 17-502 of the “Code of the City of Lawrence, 2008 Edition” and amendments thereto is hereby amended to read as follows:

 

            “17-502              TRAFFICWAY CONNECTION. 

Streets designated as main trafficway connecting links under the authority of K.S.A. 12-686 shall be as follows: (Code 1979, 17-502; Ord. 6550; Ord. 6628; Ord. 8123)”

 

(A)        Cadet Avenue, 15th Street to East Glenn Drive;

 

(B)        East Glenn Drive, Cadet Avenue to Maple Lane;

 

(C)        4th Street, Maine to McDonald;

 

(D)        Harper Avenue, 23rd Street to 15th Street;

 

(E)        Iowa Street Frontage Roads, east side, within the city limits;

 

(F)         Maple Lane, East Glenn Drive to 19th Street.

 

(G)               18^th Street, Naismith Drive to Louisiana Street

 

(H)                Ohio Street, 6^th Street to 9^th Street

 

SECTION 2: Existing section 17-502 is hereby specifically repealed it being the intent that the provisions of this ordinance be substituted in place thereof. 

 

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption and publication as provided by law.
