Annual Quorum Ordinance |
Pursuant to Charter Ordinance No. 25, the City Governing Body may annually establish a quorum necessary for the transaction of business, of four (4) members elect, versus a simple majority of three (3) members, with passage of an ordinary ordinance. Ordinance No. 8108 adopted last year establishing the quorum at four (4) members, automatically expires per the charter ordinance on March 31, 2008. However, to maintain a quorum of four (4) members elect, an affirmative vote of four (4) members is required. If the attached ordinance is not adopted, the quorum automatically reverts to a simple majority of three (3) members.

Adopt Ordinance No. 8235 on first reading.
