CONTRA
Parks and
Recreation bid out contract mowing for district #1, 2, 3, and Landscape (see attachment). These areas cannot be maintained by the City due
to being short staffed. The sole bid
from Cut-N-Edge for District 1, Area 2 is seven time higher than in the past
and not within our budget. We are
planning on splitting this area into smaller mowing districts and will rebid it
in the future. This will allow smaller mowing vendors to bid these areas. The bid was written as a renewable contract
for two additional one year periods proving funds are available and both
parties agree. This was budgeted in the
2008 budgeting process.

reject the bid from Cut-N-Edge for District #1, Area #2 for $87,350.00. Total amount approved from all areas,
