B08011 – CBX Maintenance Service – Information Systems Department

The City of Lawrence has an installed base of seven Siemens CBX telecommunications switches in various locations including City Hall, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Law Enforcement Center, Investigations & Training Center, Nature Center, Maintenance Garage, and the Indoor Aquatic Center. These systems provide telephone service for the departments at these locations. The bid requested an additional two years providing funds are available.

As these systems have aged, the annual maintenance costs from Siemens have been escalating while the service level has remained constant, or in some instances decreased. A request for bid was prepared requesting fixed annual maintenance service pricing on these seven systems from qualified maintenance providers.
