Scott,

The attached documents executed by the Board of County Commissioners are pertinent to the provision of ECC services to our municipalities. If you are not familiar with the ECC, we provide both fire and EMS dispatching to all fire and EMS agencies in Johnson County and we also manage the Countywide Communications system that is used by most city and county agencies for voice and/or data communications.

The UAB Resolution comes closest to an Interlocal Agreement for dispatching fire/EMS services to the cities. The Sheriff’s Office provide law enforcement dispatching services to 9 of the 15 police departments in the County and without any formal agreements for that service. 6 police departments provide their own dispatching services. The Co-Location Agreement pertains to the City of Olathe police locating their communications unit in the new County Communications Center, and the Radio System Usage Policy pertains to usage of the Countywide Communications system by cities.
