Kansas League of Municipalities Governmental Purchasing Contract is a state wide purchasing agreement designed for use by cities and counties in the state of Kansas.  Most items purchased off this cooperative contract can be purchased through local vendors.

Public Works is requesting to purchase two pull behind 15 foot mowers off the KLM cooperative contract.  These mowers are used to mow the levees and airport property.  The present mowers are 1995 models that have high hours and major maintenance issues and are at the end of their service life.  This purchase was budgeted in the 2008 budgeting process.

Recommendation Action:

Approve purchase from Deems Farm Equipment Co. for two CX 15 John Deere mowers off the KLM cooperative contract in the amount of $28,721.32.
