Aquatic Supervisor Receives Award from Kansas Recreation and Park Association:

Lori Madaus, Aquatic Supervisor for Lawrence Parks and Recreation, received the Distinguished Aquatic Professional award from the Aquatic Branch of the KRPA. Madaus has worked for the City of Lawrence since 2001.

Adult Sports Supervisor Recognized by KU Athletics Hall of Fame

Bob Stanclift, Adult Sports Supervisor for Lawrence Parks and Recreation, was recognized by the University of Kansas Athletics Department for the second time as three of the women’s softball teams he coached were inducted into the KU Athletics Hall of Fame in a recent ceremony.

Stanclift, who coached at KU from 1976 to 1988, was inducted along with his teams from 1983, 1985 and 1986 for finishing their academic year respectively as one of the Top 10 ranked programs in the nation. He and his teams from 1977 and 1979 were first recognized and inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2000.

Stanclift has been employed with the City of Lawrence since 1989.
