compatible with our equipment.

Model 3190 was the most durable, easiest tp repair, and determined to be the
most unlikely to fail with continuous use.

Vendor is the sole distributor of Americarts for this
area. Note: Previous sole source cart
was Ultracart provided by Burnup Equipment:
Ultracart has ceased production.

Describe the research that has been completed to ensure that no
other competition exists (nature of work to be completed, names of vendors
contacted who are unable to perform service, etc, at least two vendors): Five carts were tested.
Americart Model ??? (Vendor: Kent Hall) - Not
compatible.
Cascade (Vendor:
Roy Conley & Co.) - Poor durability, not compatible.
R. P. Co. Huskylite (Vendor: Rehrig Pacific Co.) - Compatible, but poor
durability ($50.00 ea.).
Americart Boss (Vendor: Roy Conley & Co.) - Compatible, fair
durability ($57.00 ea.).
Americart 3190 (Vendor: Roy Conley & Co.) - Compatible, good
durability ($49.75 ea.).
Burnap Equipment was contacted but had no other
carts to offer.
Division recommends the Americart Model 3190 be
approved with a sole source agreement with Roy Conley & Co. Americart Model 3190 is relatively suimilar
in apperance to our present carts, available in similar colors, compatible with
our equipment, evaluated to be the most durable available, will allow us to
maintain our cart numbering system for inventory control, and is the least
expensive of the carts available for testing.
