1.      The meeting was called to order at 5:20 pm and was chaired by Eric Struckhoff.

 

2.      Assurance of quorum: Quorum is assured.  Attendance at the meeting included committee members Eric Struckhoff, Stephanie Bishop, Trent McKinley, Becky McClure, and Michael Hajdu.

 

3.      Approval of Minutes: The Committee unanimously approve of May 15, 2007 and June 19.  There was no minutes for the July meeting since a quorum was not presented at the July meeting.

 

4.      Discussion Item:   T2030

 

Jim Tobaben, PB America, is consultant hired to prepare the T2030 Plan update.  He made a brief presentation in regards to the T2030 process and encouraged BAC to provide him input to the T2030 plan update.  The committee members provided comments related to T2030 and made recommendations to changes to the current bicycle section of the T2025 plans. There were discussion about bicycle law enforcement in regards to riding two abreast and riding on sidewalk and bicycle education at public school level. KU is identified as a geographic challenge for bicycle riding since it resides on a hill.  

 

5.      Adjournment:  The meeting was adjourned by Eric Struckhoff at 7:00 p.m.
