ORDINANCE NO. 8229
AN ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS ANNEXING PROPERTY PURSUANT TO K.S.A. 12-519 ET SEQ.
BE IT
ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF
SECTION ONE:
The Governing Body finds that the tract of property described in Section Two of
this ordinance, hereby incorporated by reference as if fully described, adjoins
the boundaries of the City of Lawrence, Kansas. The Governing Body
further finds that the owners of the tract of property described in Section Two
have submitted a petition consenting to the annexation of the tract of property
into the City of Lawrence, Kansas. The property is generally located west
of
SECTION TWO: The following described tract of property is hereby
annexed into the City of Lawrence, Kansas pursuant to K.S.A. 12-519 et seq., to-wit:
A tract of land in the Northeast Quarter (NE ¼) of Section 22, Township 12 South, Range 19 East of the Sixth Principal Meridian Douglas County Kansas and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest Corner of Lot 1, Block 1 in Stonegate III Addition in the City of Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas in the Northeast Quarter (NE ¼) of said Section 22 Township 12 South, Range 19 East; thence South06°02’58”West on the said West line of Stonegate III Addition a distance of 210.07 feet to the West line of the Northeast Quarter (NE ¼) of said Section 22 and the South Right-of-way line of Hill Song Circle; thence North01°50’25”West on the West line of the Northeast Quarter (NE ¼) of said Section 22 a distance of 211.89 to the Southerly Right-of-way line of the Kansas Turnpike Authority; thence in a Southeasterly direction on the Southerly Right-of-way line of the Kansas Turnpike Authority on a curve to the Right with a Radius of 7489.44 feet an arc length of 29.09 feet, the Chord of which bears South84°23’45”East a Chord distance of 29.09 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 3,055.6 Square Feet more or less all in Douglas County, Kansas; subject to Rights-of-way, easements and restrictions of record.
SECTION THREE: The City Clerk shall file a certified
copy of this ordinance with the
SECTION FOUR:
Severability. If any section, clause,
sentence, or phrase of this ordinance is found to be unconstitutional or is
otherwise held invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not
affect the validity of any remaining parts of this ordinance.
SECTION FIVE: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
