Please include the following item on the City Commission regular agenda for consideration at the January 8, 2008 meeting:
Attached is a request from Jerry Nossaman, Scott Watson, and Robert Lewis to vacate the utility easements located between Lots 1, 2, 15, 16, and 17, Block 4, West Hills Addition. These easements are unused and are encroached by existing homes. The subdivision is in excess of 70 years and the easements would seriously compromise the natural setting of the neighborhood if used.
Review of the original plat indicates that easements were included on every lot line of the addition. Utilities already exist and are not using these easements.
Utility companies and neighbors were notified and no objections were received.
Action Requested: Hold public hearing and, pending public comment, approve Order of Vacation.
