JANITORIAL SERVICE & SECURITY FOR PARKS & DOWNTOWN DEBRIS CLEANUP – B07069

The Parks and Recreation Department requested bids for contracted restroom/shelter cleaning, downtown debris pickup/removal and security. The security part of the bid is for locking restrooms and one gate 7 days a week between April 17^th and November 1^st . Lawrence Janitorial Service made an error filling out their bid and withdrew their bid.  It was a three part bid and the City may award each part to separate vendors.  This was bid as a renewable contract for two additional years providing both parties agree and funds are available This purchase was budgeted in the 2007 budgeting process.

Recommendation Action: 

Approve bid from Jani-King of Kansas City for the restroom and shelter cleaning in the amount of $4,788.00, Smart Building Service for downtown debris pickup/removal in the amount of $7,978.00, and Jani-King of Kansas City for security in the amount of $7,000.00.  Total for all three services $19,766.00.  (Parks and Recreation Districts #1, #2, & #3 and Downtown Public Parking Funds)
