Not attending: Brad Kemp, Maria Martin, Bob Schumm, Kate Kelly, Tim VanLeer and Michael Moore

The meeting was called to order by Derek Felch. Johnston moved, Felch seconded to approve the minutes as presented.  Motion carried.

Old Business

Discussion continued regarding the CVB transition from the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce to Destination Management, Inc. The transition expenses including everything from phone system to “paper clips” was discussed.  Billings has obtained two proposals for most everything and has made a recommendation on each.  The proposal from the Chamber was discussed and a two-month budget for November & December,  2007 was reviewed.

Billings asked that the CVB Advisory Board form a financial sub-committee in which board members would act as signators for new DMI/CVB bank accounts.  A motion was made by Constance Wolfe that the sub-committee would consist of David Longhurst, Derek Felch and Karen Christilles with signators in addition to Billings on the bank account be Longhurst and Christilles. Johnston seconded, motion carried.

Christilles also wished to recognize and express appreciation to the CVB staff for their work during the transition period.

New Business

It was agreed that the agenda item regarding Billboards vs. Rack Cards would be discussed at next month’s meeting.
