Due to a lack of a quorum an official meeting was not held. An unofficial meeting began at 5:40. For informational purposes, the following was shared and discussed.
Discussion about Blackbird’s appointment by the mayor and whether he had received notification ensued.
Ross expressed the problems that we have had had with Office Helpline. Again this month the financial statements were not sent out until 4:58. This is much too late for us to have time to review prior to our meeting. We had made a specific request that these be sent out several days to a week prior to our meetings. Besides keeping our books, we need to find a business that can also manage our database of members and doing some email blasts. Ross will investigate other bookkeepers and database managers.
Ross will get parental permission verbiage to Kennedy by early September so that it can be added to the application form for students who are applying to go to Hiratsuka and Eutin.
Hyler shared information from the Sister Cities International website including the following: membership fees, fundraising information, grants, request a sister city form, find a sister city from those listed on the website, Kansas International Sister City coordinator for the state, list of Kansas cites who belong to Sister Cities International. We agreed to dismiss.
