The following equipment and vehicles meets or exceeds the criteria for replacement, or is no longer useful to the City. We request City Commission approval to sell the surplus equipment and vehicles on Gov Deals as we have done in the past
Public Works Equipment
Solid Waste has a hydraulic tail gate they wish to sell. Tail gate lift operation is normal. This is a gravity down gate. When released from the upright position (stored position acts as a tailgate) it will free fall to an almost level position with the floor of the bed. It then will lower slowly to ground level. We replaced it because of safety concerns when employees needed to operate.
Vehicles
The City is requesting to sell four vehicles, three Utilities vehicles and one Public Works vehicle. These vehicles have high mileage and high maintenance costs and qualify for replacement under the Maintenance Garage guidelines.
