Please include the following item on the City Commission regular agenda for consideration at the September 25, 2007 meeting:

Project Description/DetailsThe project includes the construction of Stoneridge Drive from 6th Street south to Silverstone Drive, a right-turn lane from 6th Street south onto Stoneridge, sidewalks, a landscaped island at the south end, stormwater and waterline improvements.  The signalization is included in the benefit district but will be constructed with Stoneridge north of 6th Street.

January 24, 2007

met with neighbors; agreed to attached plan,

February 6, 2007

held public hearing,

March 6, 2007

approved Resolution 6701,

September 11, 2007

received construction bids,

September 18, 2007

award construction bid to R. D. Johnson, Inc.,

September 25, 2007

consider maximum assessment ordinance.

 

Project Status

ú           project is ready to begin,

ú           project completion is by/before Thanksgiving,

ú           the city has received all right-of-way. 

 

Project FundingThis is a benefit district.  The Collister property assessment will be deferred until the property develops or a maximum of 15 years.  The city is participating $50,000 for the additional width at the intersection.

 

Action RequestedOpen public hearing and, pending comments and City Commission discussion, approve Ordinance 8136 establishing the maximum assessments for the construction of Stoneridge Drive from 6th Street south approximately 630 feet.
