ORDINANCE NO. 8151

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS ALLOWING THE TEMPORARY SALE, POSSESSION, AND CONSUMPTION ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR ON CERTAIN SPECIFIED PUBLIC PROPERTY

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

SECTION 1.  Pursuant to Code Section 4-105(E), the sale, possession, and consumption of alcoholic liquor on public property shall not apply to that portion of South Park west of Massachusetts Street on September 8, 2007 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.; provided the sale is pursuant to City temporary license and state Alcohol Beverage Control rules and regulations, and possession and consumption is pursuant to the rules and regulations of the Department of Parks and Recreation.

SECTION 2.  This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
