Project Details

This project consists of two separate benefit districts as described below.

GWW North of 6th Street: Project No. 14-CP4-407 (BD)

George Williams Way, north of 6th Street is a minor arterial street which provides access to the Mercato and Oregon Trail developments, the Graham property, and possible future development to the north.  A 10’ wide recreational path and a 6’ sidewalk should be constructed for pedestrians and bicyclists. Other infrastructure improvements include the extension of a 12” waterline.

GWW North of Overland Drive: Project No. 15-CP5-407 (BD)

This portion of GWW is a two lane section with no access and will accommodate future traffic. Improvements include sidewalk, recreational path, storm drainage system and waterline.

Project History / Status

On May 15, 2007 the City Commission approved Resolution 6665 ordering the improvement of GWW, Overland Drive to the N. City Limit, and Resolution 6661 ordering the improvement of GWW, 6th Street to Overland Drive, to be completed.

The benefit district, south of 6th street, extending from 6th street to Ken Ridge Drive, has been dissolved due to property owner’s protest. Therefore, the geometric improvements of GWW between 6th and Ken Ridge Drive will not go forward at this time. However, the intersection improvements at 6th and GWW will be carried out by forming another benefit district.
