Members of the City Commission:

The Lawrence Arts Commission reviewed the proposed Sign Permit Application No. 07-00200199 at its August 15, 2007, meeting and voted to recommend that the City Commission approve the application by Carolyn Chinn Lewis and the Spencer Museum of Art to create a mural at 100 E Ninth St., Lawrence, Ks.

The Spencer Museum of Art at the University of Kansas has commissioned Dave Loewenstein to create a community mural in conjunction with its nationally touring exhibition “Aaron Douglas: African American Modernist.”  The mural dedication is scheduled for September 26, 2007.
