Dave,

This letter is to request the participation and sponsorship of the City of Lawrence in the “Get Downtown” activity scheduled for September 14, 2007 on 8^th Street between Massachusetts St. and New Hampshire St.

The Lawrence Chamber will serve as the organizer of the event. We would be pleased to have you join us as a primary sponsor of this event.

Our request of the city would be to ask you for a $5,000 cash sponsorship. We appreciate you cooperation in issues such as street closure, permitting, signage, ect.

If you need additional information, please let me know. We do appreciate all that the city staff has done in preparation for the event.
