The meeting was called to order by Derek Felch. Holiday moved, Johnston seconded to approve the minutes as presented. Motion carried.
Financial Report
Billings noted that there had been no drastic change in the current financials. Billings recognized that the bed tax collected in May was the largest bed tax ever collected, which probably means that there were a few delinquencies that had been paid.
Billings reported that she and Susan Henderson met with Lavern Squier, Dave Corliss & Debbie VanSaun to discuss the CVB budget in response to Mayor Hack’s question regarding how the CVB spends its budget. The CVB put together a power point presentation to answer that question. Although Billings and Henderson were not able to give the actual presentation, hard copies were given to those at the meeting. Billings noted that the 2008 budget for the CVB will reflect a $100,000 budget cut.
Billings and the CVB staff presented the power point presentation to the advisory board at this time.
Old Business
Continued discussion from March’s meeting regarding the Board’s position of the relationship between the CVB, the Chamber, Heritage Area and Watkins Museum.
