RE:	Ordinance No. 8130 – Wisconsin Street between 6^th Street & &th Street

Background:  On July 2, 2007, the Traffic Safety Commission heard a request to establish NO PARKING along the east side of Wisconsin Street between 6^th Street & 7^th Street.

Since the opening of Custom Highline, substantial parking along both sides of the street has been occurring limiting the street to one-way traffic at a time.

There was no public comment at the meeting.

The TSC voted 6-1 to recommend approval; Commissioner Woods opposed since the person making the request did not appear at the meeting.

Just before the meeting adjourned, M. Zarif Haque, owner of Custom Highline arrived; he was advised of the action taken by the commission and he indicated that he did not have any problem with it.

Action Request:  Adopt Ordinance No. 8130 on first reading.
