License Agreement: Sunflower Broadband

Please place the below item on the July 3, 2007 City Commission agenda for consideration.
Sunflower Broadband has submitted a request to install a 2” conduit behind City Hall on City owned property per the attached drawing. Sunflower Broadband seeks authorization to place facilities within the City of Lawrence property to provide survivable redundant routing to the Riverfront Mall. These facilities will be utilized by the Sunflower Broadband offices located within the Mall as well as customers. Public Works staff have reviewed the request and approve of the execution of a License Agreement for placement of the conduit.
The License Agreement places all responsibility for installation and maintenance of the conduit on the property owner, holds the city harmless for any damages, and can be cancelled with thirty days notice.
Action Requested: Authorize the City Manager to execute the attached License Agreement with Sunflower Broadband.
