During the 2007 CDBG allocation process, the Neighborhood Resources Advisory Committee received a request from Lawrence Habitat for Humanity, Inc. for $24,760 to pay the water and wastewater development fee for eight new homes for their clients. After discussing the matter, the NRAC voted to request that both Habitat and Tenants to Homeowners, Inc. submit letters requesting the City waive those fees in the interest of furthering affordable housing activities in the community.
Upon receipt of the letters, the NRAC instructed the Chair to write a letter of support for the request and forward it along with the letters to the City Commission for their consideration. The letter from the NRAC as well as letters from Habitat and TTH are attached.
