RE:	Appointments to Boards and Commissions

I recommend the following individuals for the appointments listed below.  I have included phone numbers, if available.  Please feel free to call any of them to discuss their potential appointments.  I believe they are willing to answer your questions or receive any comments you might have.

Lawrence Arts Commission:

Appoint Lora Jost to the position vacated by Liz Kowalchuk, which expires 01/31/08.

Lawrence Humane Society:

Reappoint Mike Treanor to an additional term that will expire 05/31/08.

Sister Cities Advisory Board:

Appoint Russell Blackbird to the un-expired position held by Karen Swisher, which will expire 12/31/07.

Special Alcohol Advisory Board:

Appoint Steve Bradt (843.4555) to the position being vacated by Tammy Davis.  Mr. Bradt’s term will expire 06/30/10.

Sustainability Advisory Board:

Appoint George Bear Eoannou (838.8529) to the un-expired position held by Jae Chang, which expires 12/31/07.
