RE:              Monthly Building Permit report

The department issued 193 building permits during the month of May as compared to 262 during the same month in 2006.  During the first five months of the year a total of 850 permits have been issued, 1113 permits were issued for the same period in 2006. 

This year 83 single-family permits issued have been issued, 117 single-family building permits were issued during the five month period in 2006.  A total of 134 building permits have been issued this year for remodel work compared to 115 building permits issued in 2006. 

Fees collected for the month were $46,773.20 as compared to $99,385.75 for the month of May 2006.  A total of $249,396.47 have been collected in building permit fee revenue this year, last year the revenues collected for the same period were at $379,785.00.  Let me know if you have any questions regarding this report.
