RE:	Appointments to Boards and Commissions

I recommend the following individuals for the appointments listed below.  I have included phone numbers, if available.  Please feel free to call any of them to discuss their potential appointments.  I believe they are willing to answer your questions or receive any comments you might have.

Lawrence Alliance:

Appoint Carlos Otero to the vacant position that expired 11/30/06.  Appoint Baha Safadi (842.8428) to the vacant position that will expire 11/30/07.

Lawrence-Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Commission:

Appoint Charles Blaser (843.8776) to the position that will be vacated by Susan Erickson on 05/31/07, and Greg Moore (312.8267) to the position that will be vacated by David Burress on 05/31/07.

T2030 Committee:

Appoint Commissioner Rob Chestnut to replace Commissioner Dennis Highberger.

Library Board – Added 05/08/07

Appoint Mike Machell to a position that will expire 04/30/11.
