Proclamation

Lawrence, Kansas

WHEREAS:   The trained volunteer and paid staff of Headquarters Counseling Center improve the emotional well-being and safety of adults and children through readily available counseling, education, and information services; and

WHEREAS:   The center provides the annual Life Support Rally to raise funds to continue their “life support” services and to increase the number of children and adults who know about those services, so they can be used whenever needed; and

WHEREAS:   One opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to help keep those services available is by participating in the Life Support Rally;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Sue Hack, Mayor of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, do hereby proclaim the day of Saturday April 28, 2007 as

“HEADQUARTERS COUNSELING CENTER LIFE SUPPORT DAY.”
