RE:

Adoption of the 2007 Action Plan of the Consolidated Plan

The City Commission will consider adoption of the 2007 Action Plan of the Consolidated Plan at their regular meeting Tuesday, April 24, 2007.  The Consolidated Plan is required by the Cranston-Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act of 1990 and is the result of a collaborative process whereby a community establishes a unified vision for community development using federal, state, and local funds.

The 2007 Action Plan includes the one year Investment Summary (attached and page 33 in the Action Plan) for the upcoming 2007 program year (August 1, 2007 through July 31, 2008).  The Action Plan is available on the department website at http://www.lawrenceneighres.org/PlansReportsData.shtml and has been available to the public since April 4, 2007.  Staff will be available to answer questions and the Chair of the Neighborhood Resources Advisory Committee, Michael Randolph, will also be present at the meeting.

To date, one written comment has been received by the department and the department response to that comment is also attached

Should you have further questions, please let me know.  The Investment Summary follows.
