TWO (2) ¾ TON 4x4 CREW CAB PICKUPS – FIRE/MEDICAL DEPARTMENT – B07014
The Fire Department requested bids for two ¾ ton 4X4 crew cab pickups. These pickups are assigned to stations for emergency response as well as day to day activities. They are staffed during severe weather such as snow and ice storms and need to carry a crew of 1 to 4 fire/medical personnel. Besides carrying personnel and equipment these pickups will also pull trailers hauling equipment and the safe house. The new pickups are to replace Units 604 and 605, a van and a Suburban, both with high mileage and maintenance costs. This purchase was approved in the 2007 budgeting process.
