The following equipment meets or exceeds the criteria for replacement, or is no longer useful to the City. We request City Commission approval to sell the surplus equipment on Gov Deals as we have done in the past.

Parks and Recreation Equipment

Parks and Recreation, Aquatics Division wishes to sell 8 competitive starting blocks from the Outdoor Aquatic Center.  They were removed and placed in storage in 2001 when all competitive swimming events moved to the Indoor Aquatic Center.  Parks and Recreation would also like to sell a John Deer mower with high hours and maintenance costs which was replaced last year.

Police Department Equipment

The Police Department’s microfilm machine was purchased used in 1998, is obsolete and not being used.  The PD’s parking meters are approximately 40 years old and have been out of service for more than 10 years.  We are now replacing the meters with duo key vault doors.

Fire/Medical Equipment

The Fire Department’s motors, trailer and boat package are old, out dated equipment that has been replace with three rescue boats with Assistance to Firefighters Grant funds.
