Request for change in term expiration date |
The Special Alcohol Fund Advisory Board is charged with the responsibility of reviewing requests and making recommendations to the City Commission on the use of funds in the City’s Special Alcohol and Drug Abuse Fund. To that end, the majority of their work is accomplished during the annual budget process, which typically includes submitting the Board’s recommendations for funding during the month of May each year. With term ending dates of April 30th for each of the seven (7) Board members, this ending date complicates their schedule if a Board member is not eligible or wishes not to be considered for reappointment. A potential vacancy on the Board occurs in the middle of their review process. Therefore, the Board is requesting consideration by the City Commission to change the term expiration dates for Board members from April 30 to June 30.
