ELEVEN (11) CROWN VICTORIA POLICE PATROL CARS – POLICE DEPARTMENT – B07018
The Police Department requested bids for eleven (11) police patrol cars. The eleven patrol cars being replaced have high mileage and maintenance costs. The low bidder, Prestige Ford, withdrew their bid due to licensing issues. Out of state vendors are required to be licensed in the State of Kansas to sell vehicles in the State and Prestige Ford is not licensed. The second low bid from Shawnee Mission Ford meets all specifications. The replacement of these vehicles follows our ongoing police patrol car replacement requirements. This purchase was approved in the 2007 budgeting process.
