RE:              Monthly Building Permit report

The department issued 178 building permits during the month of February as compared to 232 permits issued in February 2006.  During the first two months of the year a total of 298 permits have been issued, 403 permits were issued for the same period in 2006. 

A review of the permit history reveals 14 single-family permits issued this year, 36 single-family building permits were issued for the two month period in 2006.  Conversely, 51 building permits have been issued this year for remodel work, compared to 42 building permits issued for the two month period in 2006. 

Fees collected for the month were $41,153.84 as compare to $91,288.00 for the month of February 2006.  A total of $65,001.48 have been collected in building permit fee revenue this year, last year the revenues collected for the same period were at $122,665.25.  Let me know if you have any questions related to this report.
