TERMS:        Three year terms.  Terms expire March 31 of corresponding year.

MEMBERS:   Seven; two electrical contractors; two journeymen; one fire dept; and two at-large members

MEETINGS:  First Wednesday of each month; 6:00 p.m. City Commission Room.

 

FUNCTION:

To help in the administration of the City of Lawrence Electrical Code.  Its work includes designating standards and qualifications for the certification and licensing of electricians, acting as an appeals board for persons aggrieved by a decision of the enforcing authority, and acting as a code committee recommending to the governing body and changes necessary for the adoption of technical codes and ordinances.
