Per City Code, Article 5, Section 20-529(7) new communication towers require an independent review. Staff solicited information from several engineering firms indicating that they have previous work experience in the communication engineering and RF fields. Olsson and Associates was selected from among three engineering firms that responded to staff request for qualification to review the two applications that had been submitted immediately following the effective date of the new regulations requiring an independent review.
The findings provided by Olsson and Associates corresponds with the findings by staff that the two proposed applications for a new communication tower at 2206 E. 23rd Street (Knights of Columbus) and at 3420 Bob Billings Parkway (Hidden Valley Girl Scout Camp) comply with the new regulations.
This documentation is provided as supporting evidence in recommendation of approval for the two Special Use Permit Applications.
