On January 25, 2007 the City of Lawrence opened proposals for the following:
Project: Collection, Disposal and Technical Assistance Services for Hazardous Waste
Project description: Collection, Disposal, and Technical Assistance Services for Hazardous Waste Generated from Households and Qualified Small Quantity Generators located in Lawrence and Douglas County, Kansas.

Recommendation Action:
Approve Proposal from PSC Environmental Services based on best stated price schedule as compared with 2006 hazard waste quantities shipped, they offer training and remote SQG pricing. The length of this contract period is one year from signature of contract with a yearly renewal option up to three additional years -as provided within the proposal - providing funds are available.
Project Background: The Lawrence/DGCO Household Hazardous Waste program accepts hazardous waste from households and pre-qualified small quantity generators (businesses). Hazardous wastes collected must be shipped via a licensed hazardous waste transporter and disposal contractor.
