City Presents Rain Garden Presentation
Patty Ogle, Stormwater Quality Technician, recently presented a program on Rain Gardens to the Prairie Acres Garden Club. The presentation included an overview of stormwater quality, followed by information on Rain Garden design, construction and plant selection. Two Rain Gardens installed near the County Extension Office were used as examples (see attached photos).
City Opposes Unnecessary State Mandate on Utility Operations
The City has sent the attached letter regarding Senate Bill 20 from Mayor Mike Amyx to our State senators. The bill would mandate the City’s participation in the Kansas One-Call System.
