RE:	Long Range Planning Resolution

At the January 10, 2007 mid-month meeting of the Planning Commission, Planning staff and I met with the Planning Commission to discuss the attached draft resolution. This draft resolution was previously discussed by the City Commission on December 12, 2006.   The mid-month meeting focus on the resolution gave staff and the Planning Commission members an opportunity to discuss long-range planning items underway and the importance of coordination of these efforts.  The Planning Commission members indicated their support for the resolution and also a recommendation for amendments to the resolution concerning annexation.  Those amendments are incorporated in the current draft of the resolution.
