On November 28 , 2005, the City of Lawrence opened proposals for the following:  

Bid#06055 – 2007 Water Treatment Chemicals – Utilities Department

Please see attached bid tab.

Utilities Department requested bids for water treatment chemicals for 2007.  All were based on the low bid including shipping, except for one. It is recommended that Univar’s bid for sodium bisulfite, potassium permanganate and sodium hexametaphosphate be declined due to the absence of shipping on the bid as well as their modification of City requirements by not guaranteeing the price for the full year. Harcross would be the supplier for bisulfite and permanganate and GS Robins will be the supplier of sodium hexametaphosphate.

Recommendation Action:

Approve recommended bids as marked (*), (Utilities/Chemicals Fund)
