The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department requested bids for the removal of an existing asphalt bike path and the installation of a new concrete path along Clinton Parkway between Crossgate Dr and Inverness Dr. The existing surface has failed and is becoming hazardous. Lineal foot pricing to tear out and dispose of existing asphalt bike path and installation of a new 10 foot wide by 6 inch thick concrete bike path was requested. The City anticipates doing approximately 585 feet of path with this bid. This purchase was approved in the 2006 budgeting process.
Recommendation Action:
Approve bid for Clinton Parkway bike path replacement from LRM Industries in the amount of $51.50 ft. or $30,127.50 for 585 feet. (special recreation fund)
