Lawrence-Douglas County Health Board

September 26, 2006

CALL TO ORDER

A special Board meeting of the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Board was held Tuesday,

September 26, 2006.  Chair Donna Bell called the meeting to order.

DISCUSSION WITH SEARCH FIRM FOR DIRECTOR HIRING

Chair Donna Bell stated she had signed an agreement with the consulting firm of Wood-Snodgrass, Inc. to engage the search for the Director position.  Donna Bell also provided the Health Board members with an update on the Health Department staff meeting with Wood-Snodgrass, Inc.  The consultants presented to the Board an Overview for the director position and asked Kay Kent and Health Board members to review and update the document.  Wood-Snodgrass were informed that the search committee will consist of eight members: five Health Board members, one city representative, one county representative and one Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department staff member.  After discussion, it was agreed that Wood-Snodgrass would have final candidates to interview no later than Tuesday, November 28^th.

The meeting was adjourned on a motion by Gladys Sanders and a second by Tom Liebl.
