Vacation of Right-of-Way 1204 Haskell Avenue |
On November 14, 2006 the City Commission will hold a public hearing to consider the vacation of the south ten feet of 12th Street right-of-way, north and abutting Lot 219 of Fairfax Addition (commonly known as 1204 Haskell Avenue). The owners, Jeffrey Clark and Larry Northrop, propose to build a home on the vacant lot. Granting the vacation of the right-of-way would allow for a larger home to be built.
Approval of this vacation will make the right-of-way non-uniform within the block/area, and may stimulate additional requests. Staff has had contact with neighbors who might also like to vacate similar right-of-way along 12th Street.
All utilities, as well as property owners within 200 feet, were notified. No objections were received.
Action Requested: Hold public hearing and, pending discussion, approve order of vacation.
