Project History

The Kansas State Historic Preservation Office (KHPO) has requested that the City of Lawrence consider making application for the Preserve America Communities Program.  Attached is the information provided by KHPO. Additional information may be found at www.PreserveAmerica.gov.

On October 19, 2006, the Historic Resources Commission voted unanimously to recommend to the Lawrence City Commission that the City of Lawrence apply for the Preserve America Communities Program.

Action Request

Direct staff to apply for Preserve America Community Program, if appropriate.
