PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLER COMPONENTS

UTILITIES DEPARTMENT – #B06050

Utilities Department requested bids for programmable logic controller components for the North Lawrence Wastewater pump station CIP project #1SS104.  These components are part of the City supplied pump control panels for the three North Lawrence pump stations (#1, #2, #3).  Pump station #1 is located at 301 North Street, #2 is at 570 Walnut street, and #3 is at 720 Grant street and are currently under construction. We have found it to be not only a cost savings for wastewater staff to assemble and provide these panels, but it also gives us the ability to ensure uniformity.   This purchase was budgeted as part of this CIP project.

Recommendation Action: 

Approve purchase of programmable logic controller components from I & C Systems Engineering in the amount of $19,648.32, (Non-bonded Construction).
