Re:              Definition of Owner in the Development Code

Our department has reviewed the definition of “owner” in the Development Code, along with the proposed amendment suggested by Bill Mitchell.  We also reviewed several definitions of the term from other communities.  At this time, we do not recommend amending the definition of “owner” or adding a definition for the term “occupant.”  We will continue to monitor enforcement issues, with assistance from the Planning Department and Neighborhood Resources Department, and may recommend amendments in the future.
