Lawrence Arts Commission Recommendation |
Please place the following item on the City Commission agenda for consideration at its October 10, 2006 meeting:
Project History. The City Commission referred this item at its July 25, 2006 meeting to the Lawrence Arts Commission for a review and recommendation. The Lawrence Arts Commission considered the item at its August 9, 2006 meeting and tabled the item until the September 13, 2006 meeting due to the absence of a number of commissioners.
Project Status.
The Lawrence Arts Commission voted 4-3-2 at its September 13, 2006 meeting to recommend to the City Commission for approval the Kansas River Expression of Soul Project for a naturalistic sculpture trail along the Kansas River with the provisions that individual art items be referred to the arts commission for approval.
Action Request. The Lawrence Arts Commission recommends that the City Commission approve the proposed Kansas River Expression of Soul project as proposed by Marie Thompson of Artist By Design LLC.
