ONE (1) TROMMEL MACHINE – B06041
The Public
Works Department requested bids for a trommel machine for screening
compost. This will improve the quality
and usability of finished compost producing a product that can be sold for
additional revenue. The low bid from
Powerscreen Midwest for $114,900.00 met all specifications. We also requested pricing for a reversible
fan for an additional $780.00 and a 2” screen for an additional $2,800.00. The potential uses for the larger screen are
for storm debris and rock debris from the Street Department. KDHE grant will fund $85,000.00 of the
purchase price. This purchase was
budgeted in the 2006 budgeting process.
