STAFF PRESENTATION

Ms. Day, Planning Staff, gave an introduction of the request to rezone 1511 Haskell Avenue.  The surrounding area includes previous phases of a planned unit development.  There is a request for reduction in peripheral setback.   The side setbacks are consistent with the remainder of the development plan.  This is the third waiver on the project; the applicant has reached an agreement.  In regard to the reduction to the peripheral setback, the original phase respects the original setback and Exhibit A shows the area becoming a common open space with the north side at Anna Tappen Way.

APPLICANT PRESENTATION

CL Maurer, Landplan, for applicant appeared to answer any questions posed by the Planning Commission.

Jennings asked if the applicant the builder of the existing houses in the development.

Maurer replied that the applicant is the builder and there is not yet a homeowners association.

PUBLIC HEARING

No member of the public spoke regarding this item.

COMMISSION DISCUSSION

Harris questioned the connection of the peripheral setback reduction and the variance for the setback.

Burress asked if it made a difference whether the PDP states a waiver or variance is requested.

Day stated it does not matter.

Erickson pointed out that concrete is misspelled on the plan.
